Syd Bolton
Hi friend, I'm Syd Bolton, former collegiate pitcher and current collegiate pitching coach. I offer fastpitch softball pitching lessons to girls age 9+ in the Webster, New York and surrounding areas. I'm thrilled to be considered to help you along your pitching journey.
Born and raised in the Rochester, NY area, I've spent the past 10+ years dedicated to pitching, a passion that's shaped much of my life. The lessons I learned through softball have helped me achieve everything I've wanted in my "adult" life, and more.
Pitching taught me resilience, dedication, diligence, commitment, and how to be a team player, among other things. I wouldn't be the person I am today without it.
I look forward to instilling these same values in my students and athletes, helping them realize their potential and navigate their own paths to success.
At the end of my playing career, I knew I wanted to remain in the sport and help others grow, so I began to turn my passion from a hobby into a business. Within a few weeks, I had dozens of individual students working with me.
Helping young athletes develop their skills and love for the game is now my greatest passion.
My Background
I've always loved working with kids. I recently graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a major in Adolescent Education and English. While at Geneseo, I proudly pitched for the school's award winning softball team, which was an incredible experience that included winning two SUNYAC championships alongside my teammates.
In 2024-2025 I was an assistant softball coach at St. John Fisher University where I was able to help their amazing pitching staff achieve record-setting results. This fall, I will begin my career as a full-time high school English teacher in the Rush-Henrietta school district.
When I'm not working and coaching, I love cheering on the Baltimore Orioles and Buffalo Bills, diving into a good book, and spending time with my amazing family and friends who have supported me every step of the way.
I look forward to working with the next generation of softball pitchers! I hope you'll be one of them.
